Job Description:
As a Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting top talent, overseeing HR functions, and establishing external partnerships with colleges, companies, and professionals. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizational culture, managing employee relations, and driving external collaborations to support the platform's growth. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on management of day-to-day HR and talent acquisition operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and define job roles and responsibilities.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for various positions, using job boards, social media, and direct outreach.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Conduct interviews and assess candidates' technical and cultural fit.
- Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms to streamline processes.
- Manage the onboarding process to integrate new hires into the company culture.
- Handle employee relations, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and benefits administration.
- Support career development programs, including training and upskilling opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Foster a strong organizational culture aligned with Skillmate’s mission and values.
- Organize team-building activities, employee engagement initiatives, and wellness programs.
- Coordinate with colleges, companies, and professionals to establish partnerships and sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
- Represent Skillmate in meetings with external partners, explaining services and offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions and businesses to support internship and career development opportunities.
- Act as the key point of contact for partners, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Stay updated on recruitment trends, HR best practices, and salary benchmarks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Talent Acquisition, HR roles, and external relationship management.
- Strong understanding of recruitment strategies, HR policies, and employee relations.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential matters.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in building partnerships with educational institutions and companies is a plus.
- Knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and recruitment trends.
- Experience in the tech industry or freelancing/gig economy is a plus.

Internship Length: 6 Months
Time Commitment: Minimum 30 hours per week
